Ueda (うえだ) is one of the characters in Ten Count. She has been shown in flashbacks of when she was in high school. She used to flirt with Tadaomi Shirotani's father (who was a teacher) when Tadaomi was a child, and he developed mysophobia (a fear of germs) because of her.
Appearance
Teenager
Ueda in her high school year
As a teenager (Chapter 21 and Chapter 22), Ueda had shoulder-length black hair that has bangs hanging on the right side of her face.
She wore a classic high school uniform tailored for girls.
Adult
Ueda in her older years
As Ueda got older (Chapter 33, Chapter 34, Chapter 35, and Chapter 36), she grew her hair up to her lower back with her bangs swept to both sides, but she has a few strands hanging loose.
She dresses in a more mature and feminine style.
Personality
Ueda is an ill-mannered, cunning, two-faced and extremely manipulative girl who is quite the femme fatale type (a woman who uses their dashing good looks to manipulate men that will lead them to a bad fate) and when she wants something, she gets it.
Background
Ueda was a high school student who was shown to be interested in Tadaomi Shirotani's father during his childhood.
Ten Count Story
Ueda is later seen again in Chapter 33, Chapter 34, Chapter 35, and Chapter 36 as a young adult.
After Chapter 36, it is unknown on what happened to Ueda as she has not been seen or heard from again.
Etymology
- The surname Ueda is written in hiragana (うえだ), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (上田), it could possibly mean "above, top, upper" (上) (ue) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).
Trivia
- Ueda's first name is unknown.
